What I Learned and What I Went Through in My College Life


Introduction:
Hi everyone, see you guys once again. Today, I would like to share another blog with you. This blog is the sixth blog that I write and might be the last article I write for you. This is because the reason I write the blogs is for assignment purpose according to the requirement of my IT lecturer. Seriously, I never create a blog and write this kind of articles. Then, I post to social media for sharing about something of my life, this really such a good experience for me. As the topic that I mentioned above, I would like to talk about what I learned and what I went through in my college life.


Objective:
 I am writing this blog is sharing my experience to inspire you in many ways no matter in your daily life or work. By the way, I am going to introduce my college.


        As the starter of this blog, I would like to introduce my college, it is Erican College. It was founded by Dato Eric Chong in 1990. He is a well-known entrepreneur, educationist, author and success mentor. Then, he is also the President of the Branding Association of Malaysia. Therefore, he is a role model to deserve us for learning and always motivated us by providing us success forum and encouraging us to join. However, Erican College is currently located at the center of Kuala Lumpur city which is the most modern city in Malaysia and nearby the famous and highest building in Malaysia which is KLCC. Actually, Erican College was not college at first and it is just an English tuition centre to provide the highest distinction of English for the domestic students and international students. They are come from over 35 different countries such as Korea and China. After that, Dato Eric Chong is enthusiastic in Education and would like to cultivate even more genius, so that he expanded the size of his educational institution and founded the Erican College that we know and I studying. Besides, Erican College has provided 10 academic programmes such as Mass Communication, Information Technology, Accountancy, Culinary Art, Tourism Management, Hotel Management, Psychology, Graphic Design, Interior Design, and Business Administration. Come to the main point, I am interested in business so that the programme that I have taken is business administration. Now, I am currently studying my course during my second Semester. In these past few months, I have gone through many unforgettable memories and got some knowledge since I started studying at Erican College until now.


          First and foremost, before I freshly graduated from my secondary school, I decided to further study at a college that is suitable for me. However, I was directionless at that time, so that I went to the Education fair that was organized at Mid Valley Shopping Mall for looking a direction for myself. Then, I knew a talkative and hilarious consultant and even a student ambassador from Erican College, she is Priscillia and currently studying at Erican College. Thus, she guided me and recommended me to study at Erican College. Eventually, I have decided to study at Erican College and paid the registration fee. Definitely, there must be few orientation days for guiding the new batch students before we started our college life. Therefore, there were few orientation activities were carried out in 3 days. However, I met many friends that are the same intake as me but they mostly come from different state and different races. Furthermore, we have known about each other and had few funny moments with them in that three days.


        After that, I started my first day of my college life, I have known many coursemates. In these months, I had many great memories with them, we talked together, played together, studied together, doing the assignment together, having lunch together, hanging out together and so on. As for me, Erican College really just like a big family to me and the coursemates just like my parents. We are concerned of each other and lead each other when our coursemates were feeling desperate.

        Additionally, here is one of the clubs of our college which is called GBL Club (Go Beyond Limits) that is created by our Student Ambassadors. Then, they conducted a camp that is called GBL Camp to motivate and interact with our colleagues come from different intakes and different courses. However, there were few games carried out in two days by them and our principal, Dato Eric Chong, also accompanied us as the main character and main mentor of us in that two days. He was quite hilarious and a bit insane in that two. In fact, I thought that he was a serious and mature entrepreneur, I can’t even imagine he could be such crazy as a young man and sometimes could be childish like a child. I was amazed by his behavior and he treated us just like his sons and daughters. In that two days, he inculcated us many of essential things as a human being that could be implemented in our real life. In a nutshell, we have known about the importance of leadership, teamwork, socializing, honesty, reliance, friendship, kinship and more.



        Last but not emphatically least, our college provide us success programme with the free administration and always conducted this programme every few months. As an Ericanite, we call it success forum. However, our principal always invites well-known and successful entrepreneurs as a speaker to give a talk about the terms of success and how they succeeded in their tough business journey ahead to success. For the main purposes, it is to motivate and lead us to the way ahead to success. So far, I have engaged success forum tow times and the speaker of first success forum I have taken is Dato Lewre. He is the founder of Lewre Bespoke which is a brand founded in 1997 and provide high-end footwear for men and women. For another speaker of my second success forum that I have taken, he is Mr. Bryan Loo, he is currently a C.E.O of Loon Holding Sdn Bhd and there are many product lines under his company such as Tealive, llao llao, Gindako, Croissant Tayaki. Besides that, he was a franchisee of Chatime before he terminated by La Kaffa International Co Ltd. After that, he rebranded Chatime to Tealive to make tea alive and maintain tea culture. By their talks, I have enlightened in many ways and know that we must never give up in doing everything no matter in our life, education and working.
        In conclusion, these are things that I learned and went through in our college life until now. Moreover, I am looking forward that my blog can enlighten you in many ways. Apart from that, I hope you could understand the importance of leadership, teamwork, socializing, honesty, reliance and friendship, this must useful for your college life and future.
